Driven by a true passion for wedding and event planning, M&M Creative Events, LLC. was founded in

2007, by Corliss McCain and Sylvia Miller. We have built a team that truly puts our clients first and provides

impeccable customer service - not just from our team, but from the wedding professionals we work with as well.

We want our clients to feel empowered during the planning process. We encourage and inspire stepping

out of the box to create an event experience like no other. Our clients feel at ease knowing we are in their 

corner and are free to enjoy every moment.

Corliss possesses a Master of Business Administration in Management from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park.  Corliss earned her ​certification as a Professional Wedding Planner™ from the Association of Bridal Consultants in 2007 and is currently working towards certification as an Accredited Wedding Planner as well. She is a Certified Government Meeting Professional and a member of the Society of the Government Meeting Professionals. Corliss is also an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Sylvia is a native Washingtonian and graduate of George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Sociology. Sylvia has planned weddings and special events for one of America's largest dining cruise companies in both D.C. & Baltimore for nearly 20 years. She is an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants Maryland/DC Chapter. Sylvia also earned her certification as a Professional Bridal Consultant™ from the Association of Bridal Consultants in 2007 and looks forward to earning her Accredited Wedding Planner certification as well. Sylvia has been married 28 years to her high school sweetheart, Michael and they have two wonderful children and are doting grandparents to their handsome grandson, Jerome. Syliva is a proud Ally to the LGBTQ community.

M&M Creative Events' full-time Auxiliary Planner, Patrice Lyons just loves meeting our incredible couples and their families. She joined our team in 2012 and.enjoys working hard to make each special day come alive. Patrice possesses a Bachelor of Science of Business Administration from Averett University and is currently working towards earning her Certified Wedding Planner destination through the Association of Bridal Consultants' Professional Development Program. She is also an active member of the local Maryland/DC Chapter and truly finds networking with such a prestigious group of professional men and women an amazing experience. She is creative, imaginative and gifted in DIY projects. Patrice has three beautiful daughters whom she absolutely adores. 

We also have a host of interns and on-call staff that we mentor, providing industry experience and training on an ongoing basis.
